Presently, we are the nation’s foremost drone operation company in the country, distinguished by our expansive team of 35 certified pilots, all equipped with dual licenses for both manned and unmanned aviation to operate on a large scale. To complement our impressive pilot roster, we have a dedicated team of 8 highly skilled technicians who provide essential support, guaranteeing the utmost care and maintenance of our equipment. Also, we have over 7000 hours in BVLOS operations, the highest in the country and the largest fleet of drones.
Our Timelines
AWS was founded in 2016 as one of the subsidiaries of ARCO Group Plc; an Oil and Gas servicing firm with over 40 years of experience in the industry.
AWS was given all approvals to serve as a licensed drone operator in Nigeria. AWS is one of the first companies in Nigeria to be licensed for drone operations in Nigeria.
AWS was awarded the first drone operations running contract with an IOC in Nigeria - Total E&P.
AWS also commenced projects with DPR, NETCO, etc
AWS received approval to conduct BVLOS flights.
AWS had amassed a number of dual- certified pilots who have been trained in the USA and South Africa to carry out flights.
In 2020, through our efforts, Textron Systems USA was awarded a contract by the US State Department as part of a foreign military sale (FMS) transaction for supply of Aerosonde Mk4.7 drones to Nigerian Army
We were awarded major contracts with a number of IOCs and LOCs such as Shell, Chevron & Umugini Pipeline.
AWS was awarded a contract with NLNG and successfully conducted confined space inspection services utilizing the latest cutting- edge technology.
